In the future, Mr Gläser will accompany the position of Innovation Manager “Additive Manufacturing” at NRU GmbH. 3D printing in combination with investment casting enables numerous variants to produce individual metal components for our customers. The resulting degrees of freedom can be used in a variety of ways to substitute individual components or to redesign for weight optimisation or load-oriented design. There is great potential in the generative production of master and burn-out models in investment casting, the 3D printing of sand cores and thus the leap to the often-mentioned smart casting also at NRU GmbH. The possibilities for manufacturing 3D-printed injection moulds and silicone moulds as well as ceramic cores for investment casting will also be discussed. The topics to be covered by Mr Gläser will primarily serve to implement new 3D printing technologies in the company. Networking is of great importance for this task. If you have any questions, Mr Gläser and the entire NRU team are at your disposal. The employment of Sven Gläser as Innovation Manager “Additive Manufacturing” is made possible by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Free State of Saxony. We look forward to his support from 01.01.2020.
