N – NACHHALTIG produzieren R – REFLEKTIERT handeln U – UNKONVENTIONELL denken In order to meet the current challenges on the market, NRU GmbH has restructured and reoriented itself. A new management team has been formed around Managing Director Dr Tobias Schubert, with the aim of bundling and developing energy in the areas of sales/marketing, production and quality to a greater extent in the future. The more complex and undercut modern castings become, the more difficult it is in the end to remove the mold material from the depths of the casting. Many foundrymen are aware of this problem and try to guarantee the absence of molding material expected by the customer by means of camera support using endoscopy. Just imagine what would happen if ceramic crumbs came out of the turbocharger during operation of an internal combustion engine. Increased efficiency and sustainability are on everyone’s lips and lead to increasingly sophisticated and complex components that “should” find their first realization in prototype foundries like NRU GmbH. Occasionally, an SME reaches its limits in terms […]
With our new SPECTROMAXx spark spectrometer from SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH, we guarantee continuous component quality, even during incoming goods inspection. Whether aluminum, steel or special alloys, the chemical analysis ensures the quality of your component in every process step. The full documentation of analysis results enables seamless traceability of all customer components, making chemical composition results available even after project completion. #investmentcasting #prototyping #steelcasting #aluminumcasting #qualitycontrol #quality #metalanalysis
As part of a bachelor’s thesis, NRU GmbH is conducting research together with the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) and Mr. Maurice Guthof on the influence of additive models on the ceramic shell in investment casting. The objective is to use all the advantages of additive manufacturing to produce high-quality prototypes and sample series for our customers in the shortest possible time. The flexibility of additive manufacturing enables us to react quickly to design changes and, on the basis of completely tool-free production, to produce a component in investment casting within a few days that already has near-series properties.
Dr Tobias Schubert Since May 2016, Dr Tobias Schubert has been managing and steering the business of NRU GmbH and has been appointed as sole managing director. Dr Schubert brings with him a wealth of experience from the automotive industry, the foundry industry and especially the investment casting process. On 10 May 2016, a surveillance audit according to ISO 9001:2008 was carried out by TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH. All areas of the company were audited and evaluated. Particular attention was drawn to special features in the environment of pilot and small series production, as the quality requirements with regard to customer projects and requirements for near-series production are constantly increasing. The series requirements in the zero and small series area were also particularly mentioned and appreciated by the new Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Tobias Schubert. The objective of even higher quality and quality assurance with ever shorter lead times is a new component of future corporate policy at NRU. […]
Since May 2016, a 3D measuring arm has been available for component measurement. Increased demands on the accuracy of highly complex components, especially in the automotive industry, require increasingly precise measurement technology. Tolerance management and optical metrology are fundamental components of quality assurance, especially for near-series zero and small batch production. For this purpose, an efficient measuring system is now available which has a high degree of operability and is versatilely available in the environment of the production chain. Optical metrology in particular enables the holistic and precise observation of individual areas in the entire process chain. This now makes it possible to analyse form and position tolerances in individual […]
NRU GmbH was also represented as an exhibitor at Rapid.Tech this year. Our powerful team, consisting of Mr Schwark (Project Manager Additive Manufacturing), Mr Jahn (Authorised Signatory) and Dr Schubert (Managing Director), was available to answer visitors’ questions on all three exhibition days. Despite our special position as a precision foundry, the interest in our company and our products was very high. This resulted in interesting discussions with customers and partners from almost all sectors. As an investment foundry for prototypes and small series, we are fighting against the strongly emerging competition of 3D printing processes for plastics as well as classic casting alloys in aluminium, steel or titanium. The […]
Rico Anton (left), Dr Tobias Schubert (right) Networking with industry partners and industry-related areas plays an important role for entrepreneurial success, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises. New impulses for the strategic adaptation of the company to changing markets or changes in the legal as well as political framework conditions are the focus here. Against this background, the CDU member of the state parliament responsible for Neukirchen, Rico Anton, is an important interface to the decision-makers at the state level as well as at the municipal level. After a tour of the plant and the associated demonstration of the individual complex production steps for the manufacture of investment castings, the […]
Ms Mandy Schön Starting in October 2016, Ms Mandy Schön will join the NRU GmbH team and take over responsibility for sales. We are pleased to welcome Ms Schön to our team and look forward to a successful cooperation.
