Quality that convinces

We set standards in the quality inspection of metal casting and 3D printing prototypes, from visual to X-ray inspections

Quality inspection

The quality of our products is our highest priority, which is why we document and evaluate every step of the process. As soon as the customer enquiries, special test features are taken into account and these are monitored and checked throughout the process. Complete component documentation is carried out at every production stage in order to record all manufacturing and product-related data.

01

Visual inspection

A fundamental procedure for determining the quality of our castings is the visual inspection according to DIN EN 13018. This is carried out after each production step to check the components for surface defects such as cracks, cavities, gas porosities or non-metallic inclusions.

02

Dimensional inspection

To check the dimensional tolerances according to VDG leaflet P690, our castings are subjected to a dimensional inspection using a 3D scanner or conventional measuring equipment. In this way, we ensure that the standard and customer-specific specifications are adhered to.

03

Leak test

If the customer requires the pressure tightness of a casting, we can determine this using a leak test up to 5 bar under water.

04

Dye penetrant testing

Upon request, we are happy to check our castings for surface defects such as microcracks, pores or defects using the red-white test.

05

X-ray examination

We carry out radiographic tests to identify volume defects and check the general quality and homogeneity of a casting. Cracks, pores and other volume defects are localized in the component.

06

Chemical Analysis

To ensure the high quality of our materials and therefore our components, the alloys used are subjected to chemical analysis. This is how we reliably determine the weight percentages of the individual alloy components.

07

Hardness test

Upon request, we measure the hardness of our metallic materials according to DIN EN ISO 6506 according to Brinell. This serves to quickly and easily characterize the mechanical properties of materials and components.
